What data the reference stores and what happens to them
The service has no application server and no user database. The profile, log, stack and local account live in the browser itself, not on the site. Cookies are not used at all: neither for analytics nor for advertising.
In short
- All your data stay on your device.
- The site has no external counter, pixel or advertising script at all.
- The only network requests are for the site's own static files, to the same domain.
- The letter to the author is built in your mail client and leaves only on your command.
What is stored in the browser
Data live in the browser's local storage (localStorage) under these keys:
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
| sr.profile.v1 | profile: sex, age, height, weight, goal, number of training days |
| sr.progress.v1 | log: dates and measurement values |
| sr.training.v1 | training volume settings |
| sr.accounts.v1 | local account: login, salt and password hash (PBKDF2-SHA256, 150 000 iterations). The password itself is not stored — only an irreversible hash |
| sr.metrics.v1 | the metrics journal of this browser: names of visited sections and step names |
| sr.pharmgate.v1 | the 18+ confirmation flag |
| sr.pharm.compare.v1 | substances selected for comparison |
| sr.lang.v1, sr.theme.v1 | the chosen interface language and theme |
sessionStorage additionally holds a draft message and a random session identifier: they disappear when the tab closes. None of these data are sent to the site, because there is nowhere to send them — the service has no server side.
What goes over the network
When you open a page, the browser requests static files from the same domain: markup, styles, scripts and the reference JSON files. That is an ordinary site load, not a transfer of your data. As with any other site, the request carries your IP address, browser header, page address and time. Processing goes no further: no analytics, no profiling, no sharing with third parties.
The "Share" buttons are ordinary links to platforms. They work only when you click them, and they contain no trackers.
Where the site is hosted
The site is hosted on Netlify, which serves static files. Like any hosting provider, it keeps technical request logs (IP address, browser header, requested address, time). That is the only data processing outside your browser, and it relates to running the site rather than to the contents of your records: the profile and the log never reach a server.
Feedback and metrics
Contacting the author and sending metrics work through your device's mail client: the site only builds the letter and you send it. Until you press "Send" in the mail client, nothing leaves your device.
The metrics email contains only aggregated counters from this browser: how many visits, sessions and events, and which channel the first visit came from. The profile, the log, weight values and search queries are not in the email.
Age limits
Pharmacology sections open after confirming 18+; the flag itself is stored locally in the browser. For a profile under 18 the app does not show supplement doses.
How to delete data
- The "Delete my data" button in the account section clears the profile and the log.
- The "Clear journal" button on the metrics page clears this browser's journal.
- Completely — by clearing site data in the browser settings: that removes all keys from the table above.
What the service does not do
- it does not set cookies, directly or through third-party services;
- it does not sell or share data with third parties;
- it does not build advertising profiles or show ads;
- it does not ask for email or phone unless you write to the author yourself.
