8-week training block

The block is built from your weekly volume for your goal: periodisation, deload weeks and the progression step come from data rather than being hard-coded.

Where the plan comes from

Periodisation parameters — block length, deload weeks, the volume reduction percentage and the progression step — live in the reference separately for every goal. That is why cutting and bulking blocks look different instead of being copied from one template.

Limits that are respected

  • weekly volume stays within the upper bound of the range set for the goal;
  • when a goal has no progression step, no "add weight" advice appears;
  • a deload week reduces volume by a set percentage rather than "roughly by half";
  • rep and reps-in-reserve guidance comes from the volume section rather than being invented in the block.

What to keep nearby

The block itself covers volume and progression only. Technique lives in the exercises section, recovery and nutrition in the log and the calculator. None of the numbers in the block is a prescription: it is a starting point to agree with a coach.
